  • ½ head cauliflower
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup of cheese, grated
  • ¼ cup of flour
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


  • Wash the cauliflower and rub with a coarse grater. Peel and grate the onion. Beat the egg, then add flour, cheese, salt and pepper.
  • Add the egg mixture to the cauliflower and mix well. Let stand for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Pour the olive oil into a pan, take a ¼ cup of cauliflower mixture and make a cake. Cook on low heat for 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Repeat until the whole dough is gone.
  • When the pies are cooked, serve hot or warm with sour cream. These patties make a perfect side or a perfect vegetarian entree topped with a salad.
